1. Interested teachers must complete the Green School Classroom Application form and give it to your school’s Green School Coordinator. All applications must be sent to the ACC Recycling Division, P.O. Box 1868, Athens, Georgia 30603.

2. All registered classrooms will receive the “We’re Growing Towards a Green Classroom” door hanger (to be placed on the classroom door handle).

3. Strive for 5! A minimum of five (5) teachers must complete AND document at least five (5) Earth Friendly/Environmental Education activities during the school year to receive ACC Green School status.

4. Once a registered teacher has completed an Earth Friendly activity, they should complete a Green School Participation Log and submit the log to the Green School Coordinator or they can submit their activity through the "submission" page of this website. The Green School Coordinator is responsible for filing the logs for the school.

5. To maintain the ACC Green School status, a school must Strive for Five each school year. Annual renewals will receive a year sticker to place on their Green School driveway sign and (when available) grants to expand/sustain Green School activities.
