1. Interested schools must complete the registration form and send it to the ACC Recycling Division, P.O. Box 1868, Athens, Georgia 30603 or electronically to Susan Reese at susanreese@co.clarke.ga.us. The registration form must be recieved by Friday, September 18,2009.

2. NEW THIS YEAR, 2009-2010: To become an ACC Green School a minimum of five (5) teachers from a school need to participate and complete twenty-five (25) environmentally friendly lesson plans during a school year.

3. Once a registered teacher has completed an Earth Friendly/Environmentally Friendly activity, they should complete a Green School Participation Log and submit the log to you, the Green School Coordinator, or they can submit the log on the website (www.accgreenschools.org) – under the Submission category. It is your responsibility to file the logs in your Green School Folder or keep a record of the on-line submissions.

4. NEW THIS YEAR: Half of all logs approximately twelve (12) logs are due by Wednesday, December 9, 2009. The remainder of the logs (all twenty-five logs) is due on Wednesday, May 5, 2009. Submit the logs and any supporting documentation (i.e. pictures) to the ACC Recycling Division, P.O. Box 1868, Athens, Georgia 30603 or electronically at www.accgreenschools.org.
Please Note: If less than five(5) teachers participate and complete at least five (5) Earth Friendly activities, those classrooms can become Green Classrooms but the school can not become a Green School.

5. To maintain the ACC Green School status, a school must register five(5) teachers minimum and the registered teachers must complete twenty-five (25) environmentally friendly lessons during the school year. Annual renewals will receive a year sticker to place on their Green School driveway sign and (when available) grants to expand/sustain Green School activities.
