Green School Benefits
If at least five classrooms in your school register and achieve "Green Classroom" status (Five teachers completing Five Earth Friendly activities during a school year), your school will be (1) publicly declared an ACC Green School (2) receive a Green School driveway sign (3) be interviewed for a piece in the ACC Solid Waste/Recycling Division’s quarterly newsletter "One Man’s Trash" (4) become eligible for grants to expand/sustain your Green School activities.
Yearly Renewals
To maintain the ACC Green School status, a school must Strive for Five each school year. Annual renewals will receive a year sticker to place on their Green School driveway sign and (when available) grants to expand/sustain Green School activities.
